The nights are beginning to get a little cooler. The days are starting to get a little shorter. The final days of summer are upon us. With Labor Day around the corner, now is the time to start planning your end of summer bashes to close the season.

Aside from the pool, fun backyard games, and good music, food tends to be the star of the show at any gathering. People always come for the food and stay for more food. That’s just how it goes. While most people love the traditional burgers and hot dogs that are associated with summer gatherings, an increasing number of people are looking for healthier, lighter options on the menu. One such offering that tends to be a crowd favorite is salmon.

As summertime is when people try to eat their healthiest, salmon is an excellent option to have at gatherings. Not only is salmon delicious, but there are a number of health benefits associated with this popular fish. Salmon is loaded with a variety of nutrients, such as 7 of the important B Vitamins, potassium, selenium, and much more that can help reduce the risk of several diseases.

Not only is salmon delicious and healthy, it’s easy to make in your Copper Chef nonstick pan. One recipe that Copper Chef is known for is their Steamed Salmon. This delicious and easy-to-make recipe serves 2. All you need is 2 oz. salmon filets, 4 slices of lemon, 1tsp. of salt, .5 tsp of pepper, 2 cups of water, 1 cup of white wine, 2 bay leaves, and 1 tbsp. of peppercorns.

Away from the stove, add all of the steaming ingredients together in the Copper Chef Pan. Then gently place your steaming rack onto the Copper Chef Pan and place the lemons onto the rack. Lay your salmon filets on top of the lemons. This ensures that the lemon flavoring is steamed optimally steamed into your salmon. After you’ve seasoned your salmon to the desired taste, place the pan on the stove, cover with the lid, and let steam on high heat.

Once the water comes to a boil, let the fish cook for 4-5 minutes. Turn your heat off and remove the salmon fillets with a spatula. Cook your favorite summertime vegetables, such as spinach, asparagus, or even broccolini, and serve.
