We’ve already touched on how summer seafood can be made easy with Copper Chef and now it’s time to delve into one of the tastiest seafood recipes a copper cookware set can be used to make.

Salmon burgers are a delicious way to lighten up a classic summer meal. While a copper pot can produce many great dishes in its own right, the fry pan from Copper Chef, now makes cooking salmon burgers as easy and convenient as ever. There’s no need to stand outside in the heat slaving over a grill to cook this burger!

Eating a salmon burger as opposed to a traditional beef burger has many benefits, including serving as a good source of omega-3 fatty acids. The American Heart Association recommends consuming fish like salmon at least twice a week to get the necessary amount of omega-3 fatty acids in our diet. These essential fats help with brain function and reduce your chances of developing arthritis, heart disease and cancer.

Salmon burgers also add iron to your diet. A 4-oz. salmon burger has about four percent of the daily recommended intake for iron. A 4-ounce salmon burger also provides your body with 9 grams of fiber to contribute to the 25 to 38 grams that are recommended to consume each day.

Our Copper Chef salmon burger recipe serves four people and only requires 1 pound of minced salmon, 0.5 cup of panko, 2 tablespoons of lemon zest, 1 teaspoon of salt, 0.5 teaspoon of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil.

Simply mix the minced salmon, panko, lemon zest, salt, and pepper all together and form into four patties. Lightly coat each patty in panko to form a light crust on the outside. Heat your Copper Chef Pan to medium to high temperature and add the olive oil. Cook each patty for two to three minutes on each side or until golden brown. For optimal flavor, serve on a brioche bun with honey mustard, arugula and tomatoes.

Pair with your favorite summer sides, and you have an easy summer dinner that’s healthy and tastes great. You can also skip the bun altogether and serve over a bed of greens for an even lighter meal to beat the heat!
