Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pound split peas
  • 1 ham bone
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 us gallon chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 4 carrots, diced
  • 4 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cup chopped ham
  • 2 cup croutons, for garnish
  • 0.25 cup chopped parsley

Directions

1. Place the Wonder Cooker’s Casserole Pan on the stove top. 

2. Add all the ingredients except the croutons and parsley to the Casserole Pan, cover the Casserole Pan with the Grill Pan, bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, and then lower the heat to bring the mixture to a simmer.

3. Simmer the mixture until the peas turn to puree (about 1 hr.).

4. Serve the soup with the croutons and parsley.
